Vol. 400 No. 9

Written Answers. - Lough Gill Jetty.

Edward Nealon

Question:

118 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Finance if he has any plans for the construction of a jetty at Parkes Castle, County Leitrim, to facilitate pleasure boats for trips on Lough Gill and to and from Inishfree and so augment the excellent work done on the castle by the Office of Public Works.

The existing landing place on Lough Gill, near Parkes Castle, is the responsibility of Leitrim County Council. The Office of Public Works have taken up with the council the question of the provision of a better facility there for pleasure boats.
