The information requested by the Deputy concerning the return on capital employed for each of the last five years is available in the key ratios section of the published annual report and accounts of the board, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The variations between the yearly figures reflect the changes in oil prices, the gas offtake volumes, interest payments and the capital expenditure of the board in the period concerned.
Does the Minister expect Bord Gáis Éireann will be returning a dividend to the Government this year?
Yes, I expect they will.
