Question:49 Mr. Kemmy asked the Minister for Energy if he will outline the return on capital employed for each of the last five years of Bord na Móna; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The information requested by the Deputy concerning the return on capital employed is published in the annual report and accounts of the board, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
The board's annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 1989 are expected to be laid before the House shortly.
I am considering Bord na Mona's request for an Exchequer equity injection and I will shortly be putting my proposals to the Government on this matter.
