Vol. 401 No. 4

Written Answers. - Northern Ireland Registered Motor Vehicle.

Dick Spring

Question:

83 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) from Northern Ireland is not being allowed by the Customs and Excise authorities to use a motor vehicle with Northern Ireland registration while visiting this State.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that they have been unable from the information supplied to trace any record of the person referred to by the Deputy being refused permission by officers of Customs and Excise to temporarily import his Northern Ireland registered vehicle while visiting in the State. On receipt by the Revenue Commissioners of more detailed particulars of the case, the matter will be investigated further.
