142 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of grants which have been made available in County Sligo in connection with the grants for locally based women's groups in 1990; the groups receiving these grants; and the amounts involved.
Over 300 applications including 12 from women's groups in County Sligo have already been received under the scheme of grants for locally based women's groups. These applications are currently being processed by my Department and I expect to be in a position to begin allocating grants shortly.
