Assistance from EC Structural Funds for regional airports has been included in the draft operational programme for roads and other transport infrastructures.
Sligo Airport has been included in the draft programme, which is under negotiation with the EC Commission. I expect to secure agreement on the programme shortly. There are no other funds available to my Department for expansion work at Sligo Airport.
