Vol. 401 No. 6

Written Answers. - Local Authority Clean-Up Project.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

165 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he has asked each local authority to appoint a senior officer to carry out a survey and assess arrangements in its area for clean-up activities; if each local authority has appointed such an officer; and if he will list the appointed officers for each local authority.

The initiation of this project has been delayed but the information requested will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as it is available. I am arranging a meeting with county managers to discuss this and other issues.
