Vol. 401 No. 6

Written Answers. - Leixlip (Kildare) Flooding.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

178 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department have been made aware of the serious flooding which frequently occurs at Lower Main Street, Leixlip, County Kildare; if an application has been received from Kildare County Council for funding in the matter; if an allocation for funding for this work will be made in 1991; if favourable consideration will be given to such a request; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

No reports of flooding of Lower Main Street, Leixlip, County Kildare, have been received by my Department.

With regard to the system of funding for works on the N4 in Leixlip, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 198 on 3 July.
