Question:

202 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to (1) the demand for a degree course in building surveying in the Dundalk regional college, County Louth, (2) the fact that there are 15 people willing to start same, if available in September 1990, and (3) that no other college in this country provides such a course; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

All new courses in VEC third level colleges require the prior approval of my Department. No proposals for the initiation of a degree course in building surveying at Dundalk regional technical college have been received by my Department to date.
