Vol. 402 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Bernard Allen

Question:

231 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a recycling grant has not been paid to the Cork Recycling Company, Leghenaghmore, Togher, County Cork.

A sum of £500,000 is available for recycling grants in 1990. Following public advertisement, 81 proposals amounting to a total of £4.4 million, were submitted to the Department. So far, projects have been approved for grant assistance totalling £442,000. The application from Cork Recycling Company will be considered in conjunction with all other applications on hands in allocating the balance of funds. It is clear, however, that not all projects can be assisted.
