Vol. 402 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Hospice Funding.

Mary Flaherty

Question:

278 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for Health if his Department has any plans to provide further funding for St. Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin 5, in order to acknowledge their role in providing hospice care on Dublin's north-side.

Discussions are underway between the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul and the Eastern Health Board concerning the St. Francis Hospice project. I have already allocated a grant of £100,000 from the health allocation of the national lottery.

The question of further funding of this project is being kept under review and will be considered as sympathetically as possible in the context of the many competing demands for resources.
