Question:293 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Health if he will provide funds for speech therapy services in Galway city and county.

It is a matter for the local health board to provide the range of services needed for handicapped persons in its area. A decision as to whether to provide funds for any particular service is for the health board in question to make, having regard to their assessment of the priority needs for the various services.
