Vol. 402 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Neil T.C. Blaney

Question:

97 Mr. Blaney asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of an installation aid grant to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and in view of the fact that 20 months have elapsed since the application was made, if he will arrange to have the matter finalised.

In order to ensure compliance with the requirements of this EC based scheme the processing of applications is inevitably a lengthy and complex process.

It is hoped to have the application determined shortly.

Michael P. Kitt

Question:

98 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when headage grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A clerical error in processing the 1989 cattle and equines headage scheme grant due to the person named resulted in an underpayment of £190.34. The error was corrected and the £190.34 was paid on 9 October 1990. He was deemed ineligible for grants under the 1989 suckler cow premium scheme as he supplied milk but has been paid all other 1989 cattle, sheep headage and ewe premium schemes grants due to him.
