Question:87 Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in the payment of a higher education grant to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13.

The County Dublin Vocational Education Committee, the authority responsible for awarding VEC scholarships in the applicant's area, are awaiting further information from the applicant before a final decision is made in the case. I am assured, however, that, when the information sought is received, the case will be processed without delay.
