Question:

137 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Education the way in which the £14 million in the Public Capital Programme, 1991, for regional technical colleges will be distributed.

The single largest project in the capital programme for regional technical colleges in 1991 will be RTC Tallaght. The other major provision is for enhancing and equipping existing regional technical colleges generally throughout the country. There are already projects under way in Dundalk, Carlow, Athlone and Waterford and these will continue in 1991. There will also be expenditure on the College of Catering at Cathal Brugha Street and for a new college in Bishop Street forming part of the Dublin Institute of Technology.
