234 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education when she intends to sanction a child care worker, funded by her Department, for St. Brigid's School in Mullingar, County Westmeath, as promised during the recent election campaign.
I am fully aware of the request to provide a child care worker for St. Brigid's School in Mullingar and am very pleased that I was able to be of help following a deputation which I met from St. Brigid's.
Following my representations to FÁS, I am glad that St. Brigid's is able to reengage the child care assistant previously assigned to the school under the social employment scheme, for a further 52 weeks commencing on 7 January 1991.
