56 Mr. Harte asked the Minister for the Marine the present position regarding the application for a grant to provide an extension and carry out dredging works at Bunagee harbour, Culduff, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My Department's fishery harbour development programme, which covers the period up to the end of 1993, followed a detailed study of the infrastructural needs of the fishing industry and also relied, to a significant extent, on the priorities submitted by the local authorities. On this basis it is difficult to see how funds could be made available by my Department for development works at Bunagee harbour during the period of the programme. However, the proposed development of Bunagee is being considered in the context of the EC's INTERREG Programme.
