Vol. 404 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

Noel Dempsey

Question:

97 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in County Meath received only 80 per cent of the house improvement grant allocated to him; and if he will outline the amount he was allocated and paid under each category of payment.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named at the address given. There is, however, an application from a person with a slightly different name from the same address. In that case, maximum grants of £800 for a bathroom and £800 for window-door replacement have been paid. The grant approved in respect of a water supply, £400, was not paid as the applicant is a member of a group water scheme. The applicant did not claim payment of the grant for sewerage facilities and the extension, for which a grant had also been approved, was not built.
