82 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Defence if his attention has been drawn to proposals for a programme of co-operation between the Military College in the Curragh and Trinity College Dublin which would, if agreed, provide for middle management training for military personnel to a standard of a post graduate level diploma; whether these proposals have been positively considered by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that proposals along the lines outlined in the question are under consideration by the military authorities in the context of a general review of third level education in the Defence Forces.
