98 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for the Marine whether the construction on the proposed auction hall for fish at Howth, County Dublin will be on direct contract to his Department or on licence to a developer; the amount of central funds or subsidies which will be available; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The proposed auction hall at Howth is currently at design stage. This involves working out detailed costings for the project and until this information is available to me, I will not be in a position to detail the amount of subsidies or moneys from central funds which would be available. No decision has yet been made on the type of contract under which the auction hall will be constructed.
