Vol. 404 No. 6

Written Answers. - Staff Appointments at Howth.

Patrick McCartan

Question:

100 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for the Marine when a harbour master will be appointed to Howth Harbour, County Dublin; whether a full-time engineer will be appointed to the harbour; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The vacancy for a harbour-master at Howth was recently advertised by the Civil Service Commission. Closing date for receipt of applications was Friday, 25 January 1991. Interviews will be conducted shortly and, upon completion of the selection process, it is expected that the vacancy will be filled without delay. It is not proposed to appoint a full-time engineer to Howth Harbour.
