159 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the application of Drogheda Corporation, County Louth for consent to sell under the Municipal Corporation Act, 1840 to a company (details supplied) in County Louth, the premises known as 16 Fair Street, Drogheda; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
A proposal from Drogheda Corporation to dispose of the fee simple interest in the premises in question was received in my Department on 22 November 1990. The corporation were informed by letter of 23 January 1991 that their proposal appeared to be acceptable and were requested, in accordance with normal procedure, to forward the deed of conveyance for endorsement of my consent. When this has been received there will be no avoidable delay in finalising the matter.
