Vol. 404 No. 7

Written Answers. - Health Overruns.

Richard Bruton

Question:

176 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the overruns which have been experienced in 1990 in (a) each of the health boards and (b) in voluntary hospitals; the way in which these arose; and the way they are being funded.

It is not possible at this stage to set out the final expenditure position for 1990 in respect of any agency. The original allocation for the year will be adjusted for example by the cost of approved pay awards for health service staff. These adjustments are being finalised with the agencies and will be notified to them in due course.
