34 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment when he will confirm the compulsory purchase orders in relation to the lands required to upgrade the road from Waterford city to Waterford Airport; the proposals he has to fund the provision of the new road; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I hope to be in a position to give my decision on the orders at an early date. My role in determining the orders is of a quasi-judicial nature and it would not be appropriate to comment on any aspects of the scheme at this stage.
