Question:126 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Marine if he will intervene with An Bord Iascaigh Mhara to assist a person (details supplied) in County Dublin in his efforts to purchase a boat and secure loan finance for same.

I have received a number of representations in this case which I have already brought to the attention of An Bord Iascaigh Mhara. Decisions on individual loan applications are, however, solely a matter for An Bord Iascaigh Mhara within the framework of approved schemes and subject to the availability of finance.
