179 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the details of the new allowance for people leaving local authority accommodation to move into private housing, as announced in the Programme for Economic and Social Progress.
Details of the new housing schemes referred to in the Progress for Economic and Social Progress and the Budget Statement will be contained in a document on housing which I will be publishing within the next few days. Copies of the document will be placed in the Oireachtas Library and a copy will be supplied to each Deputy. I do not propose to comment on particular aspects pending publication of the document.
