Vol. 405 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dún Laoghaire Harbour Works.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

160 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Marine if he will outline the current works programme for Dún Laoghaire Harbour, County Dublin.

My Department will spend £1.95 million this year on the operation, maintenance, restoration and development of Dún Laoghaire Harbour.

A sum of £350,000 has been allocated for capital works principally for essential improvements to the Carlisle Pier. The programme of work also includes projects ranging from the design and commencement of the installation of a sewerage scheme to those relating to traffic management and safety measures. Restoration work such as the replacement of stone facing on the repaired lower deck of the East Pier will also be undertaken.
