Question:

187 Mr. Belton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle headage payment will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Longford.

The balance of any payments due to this applicant, after deduction of amounts to be recouped from him under earlier schemes for which he was deemed ineligible, will be paid shortly.

Question:

188 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a special beef premium and suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This applicant has been deemed ineligible for payment under the 1990 special beef premium scheme because he failed to respect the retention period laid down in the scheme. His payment under the 1990 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed and will issue shortly.

Question:

189 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will be paid a farm development grant for a slatted house.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

190 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether land which has qualified for set aside grant aid can be utilised for daffodil growing.

Land which has been accepted for the payment of premium under the set aside scheme may not be used for the cultivation of daffodils.
