Vol. 405 No. 3

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Use of Government Buildings.

Bernard Allen

Question:

1 Mr. Allen asked the Taoiseach if he will make a statement on (a) the holding of dinner functions for party political purposes in Government Buildings and (b) the funding of such events.

The rules and practice for the use of Government Buildings are based on those applying to Government property generally: official visits or hospitality involving Government business are paid for by the Exchequer; any other visits or functions, if permitted, are not paid for from public funds.
