328 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if his Department uses private couriers to deliver departmental correspondence; the courier firms which are currently engaged; and the total amount paid to private courier firms for each year since 1984.

The services of private couriers are used only rarely by my Department. To extract the information required from departmental files would take a considerable amount of official time and the expense involved would not be justified.
