Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Bill Cotter: The question of teenage under-age drinking; and the failure of the Intoxicating Liquor Act to deal with this abuse; (2) Deputy Jim Higgins: The need for the Minister for Education to carry out an in-depth analysis of existing structures, possible plans for rationalisation, school organisation and financing, in the light of the falling schoolgoing population of second level; (3) Deputy Michael P. Kitt: The question of the extension of the voluntary redundancy scheme for workers at the Bord na Móna operation at Derryfadda, Ballyforan, Ballinasloe, County Galway; (4) Deputy Michael Ferris: If the Minister for the Environment will arrange to have an environmental impact assessment carried out on the Cashel Theme Park proposal, in view of the decision of An Bord Pleanála yesterday; (5) Deputy Michael Finucane: The plans the Minister for Education has for the continuation of post-primary education at the Convent of Mercy, Foynes, County Limerick after January 1995 in view of the fact that the Sisters are withdrawing from the provision of post-primary education in the area; and (6) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan: The problem of youth homelessness in Dublin and throughout the country.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by the following Deputies: Deputy Deenihan, Deputy Jim Higgins and Deputy Finucane.
