Question:

133 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if his Department use private couriers to deliver departmental correspondence; the courier firms which are currently engaged; and the total amount paid to private firms for each year since 1984.

The Department of Foreign Affairs do not use private couriers to deliver normal department correspondence. The Department have contracts with Securicor and Brinks Mat for the transportation of cash and of blank passport booklets. The total amount paid to these firms for each year since 1984 is:
