Vol. 405 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Cork Hospitals Funding.

Joe Sherlock

Question:

160 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Health if he will outline in respect of (a) Cork Regional, (b) South Infirmary, Cork, (c) Mercy Hospital, Cork and Mallow General Hospital, for the years 1989 and 1990 (1) the financial allocation provided to each hospital, (2) the number of patients treated in each year, (3) the average duration of patient stay and (4) the daily cost per patient.

I have been in contact with the Southern Health Board and the hospitals. However I am not in a position to provide all the information requested by the Deputy. I will communicate the information to him as soon as possible.
