Written Answers. - Clonmel (Tipperary) School.

Theresa Ahearn

Question:

176 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if she will outline her intentions in relation to the provision of a concessional appointment of an extra assistant teacher, at a school (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The question of appointing a concessionary teacher to serve the needs of disadvantaged pupils at St. Oliver's national school, Clonmel, will be examined in the context of the implementation of the agreement between the Government and the social partners under the Programme for Economic and Social Progress.
