Question:65 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Finance if he will issue a tax-free allowance certificate to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo which was applied for some months ago.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer completed a return of income from on 30 January 1991. A certificate of tax-free allowances on a non-cumulative basis will be issued to the taxpayer on 8 March 1991, but, in the interim, the inspector of taxes has informed his employers of his allowances.
