Vol. 405 No. 6

Written Answers. - Legal Costs.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

111 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will outline the total court and legal costs arising from the appointment of an administrator to the Goodman Group; if the State are liable for any of these costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Details of the total court and legal costs of the various parties are not available to me as I do not have responsibility for them. Arising from the engagement of a junior counsel who held a watching brief on my behalf on certain of the proceedings before the High Court, a cost of £2,066.40 to be borne by the State was incurred.
