Question:112 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he proposes to introduce a free telephone service in his Department for consumer complaints from the public.

I have no plans to introduce a free telephone service in my Department to handle consumer complaints.
I would add that such a service would not be free as the cost of providing it would have to be borne by the taxpayer.
