Vol. 405 No. 6

Written Answers. - Parking Restrictions.

Tony Gregory

Question:

129 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice whether, arising from his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 234 on 19 February, 1991, he is concerned that the statements from the Garda authorities are contradictory in that a yellow line itself implies that some degree of parking is permitted and that consequently the yellow line should be removed at this location.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that they consider it of paramount importance that the yellow lines be retained on both sides of the roadway at this location and in order to remove any possible ambiguity they have asked Dublin Corporation to replace the single yellow line on the southern side of the roadway with a double yellow line.
