Question:

198 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in payment of a grant for the Christian Brothers primary school, Lismore, County Waterford, in respect of the installation of doors and windows; and when payment of same will issue in view of the fact that works were completed in December 1990.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke):

It was necessary for my Department's professional advisers to inspect, and to prepare a completion certificate before the grant payment could be processed, in respect of the replacement of windows and doors at Lismore Christian Brothers national school, County Waterford.

My Department will be in touch with the school authorities shortly.
