Vol. 405 No. 9

Written Answers. - Land Commission Annuity.

Noel Dempsey

Question:

81 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will allow a person (details supplied) in County Meath to purchase his Land Commission annuity outright or to arrange to have the Land Commission renegotiate the term of repayment of annuities.

The annuity may be redeemed for approximately £24,040 at present. I regret that it is not possible to renegotiate the terms of repayment because the annuity was set up by a vesting order which cannot now be altered.
