Question:222 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Justice when a land transfer (details supplied) will be expedited in the Land Registry office.
Written Answers. - Registering of Land Transfer.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is a subdivision application which was lodged in the Land Registry on 14 March 1990. Due to the pressure of work in the registry generally there is, at present, a delay in dealing with applications of this nature.
I am informed, however, that it is the policy of the Land Registry to try, as far as possible, to expedite cases in which it can be established that special circumstances of urgency exist. I understand that this was done recently in the case in question and that registration was completed on 12 April 1991.
