241 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement with regard to an application received from Laois County Council in respect of additional funding, arising from necessary works following a serious flooding problem at Mountrath, County Laois.

This is one of a number of proposals submitted by Laois County Council in relation to flooding in Laois in 1990. The council have been requested to submit further technical information so that consideration can be given to the proposal.
