311 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the reason for the failure of her Department to acknowledge correspondence from a solicitor (details supplied) in County Mayo in respect of a request to discharge the lease of a primary school in County Mayo.
During the course of on-going correspondence with solicitors representing the chairman of the board of management issues arose on which it was necessary for my Department to seek the advice of their legal advisers. My Department will communicate further with the solicitors when this advice has been received.
