Question:124 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in issuing a certificate of tax free allowance to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when the certificate will issue.

I have been informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer had two employments, both dealt with at the Wexford tax office. He incorrectly sent tax details proper to one of these employments to the Wexford tax office. The details from both offices have now been brought together and a tax-free allowance certificate for 1991-92 will issue within a matter of days.
