Question:

86 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for the Environment whether his Department have fully complied with Article 3 of EC Directive 85/337 in relation to the proposed linking of Ballymun Road to the Northern Cross Route; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn):

The requirement of the European Communities (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Motorways) Regulations, 1988, which give effect to the requirements of Directive No. 85/337/EEC, were fully complied with in this case.
