Vol. 407 No. 7

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

68 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Social Welfare if a free fuel allowance will be granted to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 20.

In order to qualify for a free fuel allowance a person must satisfy certain conditions. One of these conditions requires that a claimant's means other than his social welfare pension cannot exceed £5.00 per week.

As the person concerned is in receipt of income exceeding £5.00 per week from an occupational pension in addition to his retirement pension he is not entitled to a free fuel allowance.
