Vol. 407 No. 9

Written Answers. - Dublin Inner City Employment Project.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

136 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Labour if he will clarify the position in relation to the composition of the company established to operate the pilot project in Dublin's inner city of the area-based response to long term unemployment; if he will give the composition of the board of directors of the company; the names of the directors and the organisations which they represent; the proposed headquarters of the company; its defined territory of operation; its programme of work; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As indicated in my reply to parliamentary questions from the Deputy on 25 April 1991, on the area-based response to long term unemployment, the national level team has been engaged in a consultative process with various statutory, community and business interests in each of the twelve selected pilot areas since early April.

This process is still on-going and consequently it would be premature to provide the kind of specific detail the Deputy seeks.
