144 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Social Welfare if a person (details supplied) in County Meath is entitled to a free electricity allowance and a free telephone rental allowance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My Department have no record of receiving an application from the person concerned for free electricity allowance or free telephone rental allowance.
Application forms and explanatory leaflets for both schemes have now been issued to the person concerned. When she returns completed application forms to the Department, her entitlement to these allowances will be determined.
