Vol. 407 No. 9

Written Answers. - Home Repair Aid.

John O'Leary

Question:

190 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Health the reason the Southern Health Board cannot allocate a grant under the special scheme for the elderly to enable persons (details supplied) in County Kerry to pay for repairs to their home which was partially destroyed by fire recently; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been informed by the Southern Health Board that the persons referred to by the Deputy will qualify under the supplementary allowance scheme for aid to repair their home. An application for assistance under the housing grant aid scheme is currently being reviewed by the Southern Health Board.
