Question:9 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Taoiseach if he will outline his views on the proposal by the Government of the Netherlands that, in the context of the current intergovernmental conferences, consideration should be given to improving compliance by member states with rulings of the European Court of Justice by considering the imposition of financial sanctions such as periodic penalty payments or punitive interest payments.
